1. Who we are
This website, www.prestaspeed.com (“PrestaSpeed”), is operated by SC PrestaChamps SRL, a company registered in Romania (Trade Registry No. J26/992/2020, fiscal code 42884751), with its registered office at Târgu Mureș, Mureș County, Romania. PrestaSpeed is a brand of PrestaChamps.

2. What data we collect, and why
Contact and quote forms
When you send us a message through one of our contact forms, we receive the details you type in: your name, work e-mail address, your store’s URL, your PrestaShop version, your approximate monthly visitor count, your phone number (optional) and your message. We use this to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. Form submissions are delivered to our inbox by e-mail; they are not stored in a database on this website.
Free PageSpeed test tool
When you test a website with our free PageSpeed tool, we store the URL you tested, the test results, your IP address and the page you started from. If you request the detailed report, we also store the name and e-mail address you provide, we e-mail you a copy of the report, and our team receives your details as a sales lead so we can follow up personally. We use your details only for this report and that follow-up — no newsletters, no automated marketing lists.
Spam protection (reCAPTCHA)
Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, provided by Google Ireland Ltd. reCAPTCHA analyses technical signals about your visit (such as your IP address and how you interact with the page) to distinguish people from bots. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Analytics and advertising
With your consent — and only with your consent, given through our cookie banner — we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement to understand how the site is used and how our advertising performs. Until you consent, these services set no cookies and receive no identifying data from your visit. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Technical data
Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.
3. Legal bases
We process your data on these bases under the GDPR: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) when you ask for a quote or a report; legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for responding to business enquiries, following up on leads, and keeping the site secure; and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics and advertising cookies, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie banner.
4. Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- our hosting provider (servers located in the European Union), which operates the web server and mail delivery;
- Google Ireland Ltd — reCAPTCHA, and (only after consent) Google Analytics and Google Ads;
- CookieYes Ltd — the cookie consent banner and consent log;
- Automattic Inc. (Jetpack) — site infrastructure services.
5. International transfers
Some providers listed above (Google, Automattic, CookieYes) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area, in particular to the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
Enquiry e-mails and quote correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and no longer than 3 years after our last contact. PageSpeed tool lead records are reviewed and deleted on the same schedule. Server logs are rotated automatically by our hosting provider. Consent records are kept as long as legally required to prove consent.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time for access to the data we hold about you, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting past processing. Write to support@prestaspeed.com and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Romania, the ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro), or the authority of your own EU country.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to lead data is restricted to our team, and our forms are protected against abuse. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we apply the technical and organisational measures you would expect from a performance-and-security-focused agency.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
