This page explains which cookies www.prestaspeed.com uses and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy. The website is operated by SC PrestaChamps SRL — full details in the Legal Notice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work; others remember preferences or measure how the site is used. Cookies set by us are “first-party”; cookies set by other companies whose services we use (such as Google) are “third-party”.
2. Consent comes first
When you first visit, the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The cookie banner asks for your choice, and Google’s services run in “consent mode”: until you click Accept All, they receive no cookies and no identifying data. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — see section 4.
3. The cookies we use
Necessary
Required for the site and the consent system itself to work. These do not need consent.
- cookieyes-consent (first-party, CookieYes, 1 year) — remembers the consent choices you made in the banner.
- wp-wpml_current_language (first-party, session) — may be set to remember the language version you are browsing.
- _GRECAPTCHA (third-party, Google, 6 months) — set by reCAPTCHA on pages with a form, solely to tell people from bots (security).
Analytics — only after you accept
- _ga (first-party, Google Analytics, 2 years) — distinguishes visitors with a random identifier.
- _ga_* (first-party, Google Analytics, 2 years) — keeps the session state for our Analytics property.
Advertising — only after you accept
- _gcl_au (first-party, Google Ads, 3 months) — measures whether our advertising led to an enquiry.
- Additional Google Ads cookies (such as _gcl_aw) may be set if you arrived by clicking one of our ads, to attribute that visit.
4. Managing your choice
You can reopen the cookie banner at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, review each category under Customize, and accept or reject them. Rejecting analytics and advertising cookies does not limit the site in any way.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (look for “Privacy” or “Site data” in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge). Blocking the necessary cookies may make the banner reappear on each visit.
5. Changes
If we add or remove services that set cookies, we will update this page and, where consent is required, ask for it again through the banner.
